  • Over thirty years as a hands-on Human Resources practitioner and manager, first with a major Canadian chartered bank and then as a member of the Canadian leadership team of a Fortune 1000 medical instrument company.
  • Served as secretary, vice president, and president of the Oakville and District Personnel association between 1988 and 1996.
  • A founding member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) from 1990 to 2015, attaining the designation of Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
  • Served as secretary of the Halton chapter of HRPA in 1996, was an active member of the Grand Valley chapter from 2007 to 2015, and volunteered with the HRPA Hotline in 2015, providing advice and counsel to members.
  • Established a freelance consultancy in 2013 to support local small businesses, assisting clients with recruiting, job descriptions, policy development, legislative compliance, team-building, and more.
  • When I decided to retire, I looked for a comprehensive source of suitable reference material for my clients. When I couldn’t find one, I decided to write From Entrepreneur to Employer.
